Join award winning writers and experienced space holders, Polly Hall and Alison Powell on this one-day online writing retreat.

If you're looking to connect (or re-connect) with your creative writing, to find inspiration, motivation and good company to write with, this is the perfect one-day writing retreat for you. You'll be guided through a series of well-planned and thoughtful activities all designed to get words flowing.


Who is it for?


Perhaps you haven't picked up a pen for ages, but are feeling the urge to write. Maybe you have a novel on the go and want some inspiration to bring fresh energy to your work. Or maybe you know that creative writing in a supportive group environment is medicine for your own well-being. Wherever you're at with your writing practice, you'll be supported during this retreat to meet your muse and discover what creative gifts they have for you.

What can I expect?

Original and idea-generating activities and prompts, meaningful discussion, opportunities to share your words, q&a time with Polly and Alison, plus the chance to spend a day with like-minded people.

About your facilitators:

Polly Hall has been published in various anthologies and won competitions for her poetry and flash fiction. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. A longstanding member of Somerset Writers’ group, she also teaches creative writing workshops. The Taxidermist’s Lover is her first novel.

Alison Powell supports new and established writers with their creative work. She established WriteClub in 2016 and has since run regular workshops on all aspects of the writing craft. She is an award winning writer, published in various anthologies and magazines and holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. She is a member of the Hay Festival Writers at Work Programme and is a writing producer for Paper Nations at Bath Spa. She is also an INLPTA certified Master Practitioner of NLP and coaching.

She believes that everyone has the right to express themselves in writing and runs all her sessions with a positive approach. Her passion for poetry and story along with her enthusiasm for helping people find the best in themselves are reflected in her lively and open presentation style. She will do her very best to ensure that you find the support you need to make your writing work. You can find out more about her via
